Gazi University Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum was founded on September 23, 2005 by Prof. Dr. M. Öcal Oğuz, Director of Gazi University Turkish Folklore Research and Application Centre, with the intention of promoting and transmitting Turkish folk culture. On the other hand, Ankara Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum was founded as part of a project supported by Ankara Development Agency and conducted by Gazi University Turkish Folklore and Municipality of Altındağ jointly and it was opened to visit on May 28, 2013. In both museums, five domains of ICH Convention are exhibited being transformed to interactive application models. By this way, visitors participate in the processes of safeguarding and revitalization of these cultural heritage domains functionally. These two museums, where visitors take part actively, contribute to transmission of cultural heritage domains also with some activities. Association of Intangible Cultural Heritage Institute provide academic support to the operation and activities of these museums.
