Intangible Cultural Heritage Meets Children

The project “Intangible Cultural Heritage Meets Children” was prepared by the Municipality of Ankara Çubuk, District of Çubuk Directorate of National Education, Institute for Intangible Cultural Heritage and Ankara Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and it was carried out between November 5, 2016 – January 14, 2017. Before the execution of the project, a team of Ankara Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum has made presentations and prepared some brief shows to introduce the project at 6 schools in Çubuk. Following the introduction of the project to 3.000 students at 6 schools and 150 classes, first program was organized at Mansion of Bekir Ağalar in Çubuk on November 5, 2016. These programs ended on January 14, 2017. As part of the project, fairy tale narrations, Karagöz-Hacivat shows, Ebru, the art of marbling, the art of printing (by the mold made of linden tree), puppet workshop, traditional village plays, meddah, riddles and traditional children games have been offered to primary school students.
